November to March: the high season

This is the period when you can do everything: safari, beach, cruise, Burj Khalifa, gardens like the Miracle Garden, open-air markets and Global Village. Desert evenings are cool, so a jacket is advised. In return, hotel prices are higher and you need to book early, especially for Christmas, New Year and school holidays.

June to September: summer, a user's guide

Dubai lives by air-conditioning: shopping malls, aquariums, Ski Dubai, museums and indoor parks. Water parks are popular, preferably in the morning. A desert safari is still possible because it takes place late in the day. Hotel prices drop noticeably. Drink plenty of water, protect yourself from the sun and avoid walking outside between 11am and 4pm.

April, May, October: the transition months

Days are hot but manageable, especially in October when conditions improve again. These are often good months to find attractive prices with plenty of sunshine.

And during Ramadan?

Ramadan 2027 is expected around 8 February, lasting 29 to 30 days, with Eid al-Fitr around 9-10 March (dates to be confirmed by moon sighting). The city stays open to tourists, but the rhythm changes: adjusted opening hours, discreet eating and drinking in public places during the day, lively evenings after sunset. It is a culturally very rich period. Remember to check the hours of your activities before booking.

How to choose depending on your trip?

Guide's tip: whatever the season, plan your highlights (Burj Khalifa, desert, cruise) late in the day, when the heat drops and the light is at its best.
