Choosing your Dubai desert safari

The safari is Dubai's most popular experience: a late afternoon in the dunes, a sunset, then an evening in a traditional camp. Our options are similar in how they unfold, but differ in the camp, the meal and the level of thrills. Here is how to choose.

Discovery or Premium?

The Discovery Safari is the classic option: dune bashing in a 4x4, sandboarding, camel ride, henna and a BBQ buffet with shows, in a friendly, shared atmosphere. The Premium Safari offers the same highlights in a more refined camp, with premium seating and a more varied international buffet. If the evening atmosphere matters to you, Premium makes the difference; otherwise Discovery already offers all the essentials.

A safari from Abu Dhabi

If you are staying in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Safari saves you travelling to Dubai: the round-trip transfer from your hotel is included, with dune bashing, sandboarding, camel ride, henna and a BBQ meal in a traditional camp. This option departs from Abu Dhabi only.

Add a quad or buggy

For more thrills, the Quad & Buggy option can be booked on its own or in addition to a safari. It offers an accessible 350 cc quad, the 700 cc Raptor or Polaris and Can-Am X3 Turbo buggies, with 30- or 60-minute sessions. Safety equipment, an accompanying guide and insurance are included.

A typical afternoon, step by step

Your driver picks you up at the hotel between 2 pm and 3 pm. After the drive in an air-conditioned vehicle and a stop to deflate the tyres, you ride through the dunes, watch the sunset, then have dinner at the camp with shows. The return to the hotel is at around 10 pm.
