The Discovery Safari is our classic way to experience the Dubai desert at sunset. On the programme: 4x4 dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride, henna tattoos and a BBQ buffet with live shows, in a friendly, shared atmosphere. An optional Quad & Buggy stop lets you add extra thrills before sundown.

How your afternoon unfolds

Pickup from your hotel
Your driver picks you up at the reception between 2pm and 3pm for the drive into the desert, in an air-conditioned vehicle.

Entering the desert
A short technical stop to deflate the 4x4's tyres for better grip on the sand — a good moment for your first photos facing the dunes.

Dune bashing & sandboarding
Off towards the highest dunes for a thrilling, rhythmic 4x4 ride. A stop at the top lets you try sandboarding, included in the package.

Bedouin camp, camel & henna
Arrival at the traditional camp: a very short camel ride, meant for photos and videos at the entrance (a longer ride is possible for an extra fee paid on site: price negotiable with the camel's owner), then a complimentary henna tattoo as the sun starts to set over the dunes.

BBQ buffet under the stars
A generous all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet (grilled meats, salads, sides) served in the camp, in a friendly, shared atmosphere.

Traditional shows
The evening closes with a traditional dance performance and a fire-breathing show, before the drive back to your hotel between 9pm and 10pm.
