Discover Abu Dhabi in a day, accompanied by a French-speaking guide, in a private vehicle for up to 6 people. On the program: a photo stop at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a visit to Heritage Village, a stop on the Corniche and in front of the Emirates Palace, then a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the dates market. Departure around 9am, approx. 8 hours.
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the Emirates, is about 1.5 hours by road from Dubai. Our private tour, from around 9am until the return at the end of the day, shows you the essentials with a guide who explains everything in French, at your own pace and without the constraints of a large group.
The tour opens with a photo stop in front of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, followed by a visit to Heritage Village, which recreates traditional life before oil. You then drive along the Corniche, take a photo in front of the Emirates Palace and visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, before finishing at the dates market, ideal for bringing back local specialties.
This is the highlight of the day: a huge white marble building crowned with 82 domes, which can hold several tens of thousands of worshippers. Dress must be covering: loose clothing hiding arms and legs, and a scarf for women (abayas are usually lent at the entrance). Access may be limited on Friday mornings, the day of prayer: if your date is flexible, avoid that time.
With a guide, you understand what you see: the history of the federation of the Emirates, the customs, the rules to follow in the mosque. This is particularly useful for families with curious children. The vehicle is private for up to six people, which allows the breaks to be adapted. If you do not need explanations in French, the English-speaking driver option is cheaper.
Does the tour include entry to the Louvre Abu Dhabi?
The tour includes a photo in front of the museum, but not the visit inside. If you would like to go in, you can add a Louvre Abu Dhabi ticket to your order.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is a family tour. The stops are short and the private vehicle allows breaks. Make sure children also wear covered clothing for the mosque visit.
What is the difference with the English-speaking driver option?
The French-speaking option includes a guide who gives commentary in French and adds the Louvre as a photo stop and the dates market. The English-speaking driver option is cheaper, but without explanations in French.
