After a 6 to 7 hour flight from France and the heat that greets you as you leave the plane, the ride to the hotel is the moment when you want everything to be simple. In Dubai, the options are many: here are the real differences in price, duration and comfort.

The metro: very cheap, with limits
The Red Line serves terminals 1 and 3. Terminal 2 has no station. You need a Nol card (a deposit of a few dirhams plus credit), sold at the stations. The metro is very efficient for reaching Downtown, Business Bay or the Marina. The limits: suitcases in crowded carriages at rush hour, the walk between the station and the hotel, and the timetable, slightly different on Fridays. Check it on the RTA website before you leave.
Taxi and ride-hailing: simple, but unpredictable
Official taxis are available 24/7 at the airport exits. They run on the meter, with an airport surcharge. Careem and Uber also work, with a marked pickup zone and fares that rise at peak times. The main risk is waiting on arrival after a long flight, especially at night or when many European flights depart.
The private transfer: the most relaxed
Our airport transfer is a private vehicle with an English-speaking driver, for up to 4 people. Here is what it changes in practice:
- The driver waits for you at baggage claim, you have nothing to look for.

- The price is known in advance, with no meter.

Our tips for a smooth arrival
- Visa and passport: check the entry requirements before you leave. For travelers of your nationality, confirm the current rule on your government's official website.
- Connection: get an eSIM or a local SIM card on arrival if your roaming plan is expensive.
- Water and sun: keep a water bottle in your cabin bag, the heat hits as soon as you leave the terminal.
- Return: allow 3 hours before your flight, and book the return transfer at the same time as the outbound one.

What is the cheapest way to get from Dubai airport to the hotel?
